After School Activities and Enrichment

Sant Bani School’s optional After School Activities and Enrichment program is held Monday through Thursday every week throughout the school year, running until 4:15 PM.  The program is open to all students in grades K-8; Kindergarten has a separate after-school program for the first half of the school year before students join the larger program.  After School Activities are included in tuition.

Each After School Activity is designed and run by SBS teachers.  Students who remain at school for the After School Activities time gather in the studio, where they learn what activities will be offered that day and pick an activity of their choosing.

Running concurrently each term are Enrichment offerings, which are more specialized programs that take place on set days each week.  Examples include black and white photography, in which students use film cameras to take photographs and develop them in the school’s photography lab; and Gardening in the school gardens.  Students must sign up for Enrichment classes in advance and participation may carry a small fee.

Students in grades 5-8 may participate in Sant Bani School’s interscholastic sports program as their Enrichment activity, and from December until early April students in grades 3-8 can take part in the Enrichment Play, the school’s yearly theatrical performance.

Clubs

Clubs take place on Friday afternoon for students in grades K-5; all students in grades K-8 may participate in clubs during the winter months, when skiing and ice skating are offered.  Some clubs are held on campus while others venture off-campus to nearby locations; a small fee may apply to off-campus clubs.
